May 2009 Archives
We are super pysched to be joining the crew putting on a series of new monthly events happening every Wednesday downstairs at the Annex. Denny (of the illustrious Ruff Club) has a killer Yorkville soundsystem that we'll be installing each week so expect amazing sound, cheap (and free) booze, and lots of dancing in the dark!People Don't Dance No More will be hosting every 2nd Wednesday and we are launching it off with a very special night with our friends at Ghostly Intl. Michna, boss man SV4, and a few other secret Ghostly guests will be joining Blair and I behind the decks. The Ghostly crew will be pushing off soon after for Sonar (but not before their 10 Year Bash at Studio B) so you know it's gonna be a wild night.
Make sure to RSVP for free entry PDDNMNYC@gmail.com!

We had a blast up on the terrace last night. The weather was perfect, the food was delicious, and the music was fun. Don't worry if you missed it, we'll be doing it often.
People Don't Dance No More Sunset Disco BBQ at Studio B:

Zombie Zombie Live:
My Cousin Roy and Brennan Green pulled out the stops for a full Wurst night on Beats in Space Tuesday.
Brennan gets nice and weird while Roy features a bunch of upcoming Wurst releases. If you haven't had a chance to listen yet, I highly recommend it. Brennan and Roy will be joining us for a freakout on a boat in July.
The Wurst Has Yet to Come...stay tuned.

My Cousin Roy Beats in Space 5.19.09 (MP3)
Roy will be playing all over NYC this weekend, all of the flyers for his events are down below.
Two parties that I'm super pysched about but have neglected to post about are coming up this weekend.
The first is the NYC debut of Zombie Zombie at the Oscillations Party at Studio B on Thursday night. Come out early for our Sunset Disco BBQ on the roof and stay all night for the party!
Check out their amazing video:
Also rocking it live will be Circlesquare, Ghostly's Michna (who we'll be hosting at our debut Wednesday Monthly at the Annex on June 10th), and hometown heroes Apache Beat. Cousin Cole and Pocketknife will be kicking it in the booth all night.
More on the techno tip, BLK | MKT membership will be hosting a huge huge party on Friday night at a secret Brooklyn locale. I'm most excited to see the US debut of Innvervisions Live (Ame, Dixon, and Henrik Schwarz!)
All of the secret details down below.
Here's a look at Fall/Winter from my friends over at Kitsune
Finally got my copy of Tom Trago's Voyage Direct on Rush Hour and its been on repeat here at HQ. Pick up your copy at Juno Download. Physical release is coming soon.
Just the right mix of disco and techno.
My friend and maker of ties (and films) Alexander Olch finally got the Selby treatment. I have not yet ventured into the wonderful chaos that is his atelier but will report back soon on it...Olch's film "The Windmill Movie" is making its theatrical debut in major cities this summer. Catch it at the Film Forum in New York from June 17 - 30th. Stay tuned for a special screening event.
UPDATE: TRAILER ON VIEW NOW AT NYTIMES & TICKETS ON SALE NOW AT FILM FORUM
