Who needs SXSW?
Seriously?
We aren't going.
Not that we don't love bands, BBQ, and sunshine; but Miami has house music, beach, and Cuban sandwiches...
I don't know about you, but it seems like there is plenty going on in NYC. For starters, we are doing another disco-fied PDDNM at 205 on Thursday with Escort and Liv Spencer. Friday night, it seems people think that Justice will show up at Misshapes, I mean Royale with Busy P. Finally, Saturday night begins the Cut Copy invasion!
I don't have a copy, but I did have a listen to the new album In Ghost Colors and I can tell you that is everything you are hoping for and more. Depth, multi-part song structures, weirdo guitars, and of course banging synths and soaring, epic vocals. I'm sure you've heard "So Haunted" so you have an idea what to expect. Its out April 8th but you can pre-order it now.
I cannot wait to see how the boys do it up live this Saturday at Studio B and on Monday at Mercury Lounge.
I just got werd of a happening afterparty for the Monday night show at The Randolph. Its with DJ sets by T&T and the Cutters themselves. Call out on Tuesday. RSVP here.
All of the flyers are below.
