The boys are working on their new album with Tim Goldsworthy and if Hearts on Fire is any indication, we are going to be listening to Cut Copy on the beach all summer.

Our buddy, DJ AJAX, from the Bang Gang crew down in Sydney has put together a really awesome mix. I'm going to give you more on Ajax later, but I want to get you listening to this ASAP.

He's pulled apart every song that you've been listening to for the past few weeks, diced them into pieces, re-edited them, added in shit you ain't never heard, and pulled it back into a banging hour long set.

I'm getting into TV/Video on the interweb. The quality is getting better and the content is getting increasingly exclusive and edgy.

E.g., homeboys at Vice got into the game as of a few days ago.

If you've seen the VICE GUIDE TO TRAVEL, which I highly recommend, you have an idea of what these cats can cook up. While highlighting the realness in real life is their specialty, VBS will also include music features and some generally just fucked up shit. The site says Spike Jonze is the creative director of VBS.TV. I doubt they are name checking. Get live.

I mixed a first draft on Saturday and opened it with this new Carl Craig remix of Faze Action. Its a massive first track.

I was a little dubious about keeping it out front, but after hearing JDH drop it as the first track after Lindstrom's set later that night at FIXED, I'm thinking I'll keep it there. The kids won't techno for an answer...

AOL's Spinner music site usually has some pretty sweet treats on the indie tip, but this weeks 3x3 video section has some good dance jams.

Top pick is the Joakim live sample from the La Cigale Festival in Paris. He plays with a full band and its totally beardo fantastic.

Hard to believe its been a year already: I can barely walk, I sure can't write, and I definitely don't look like I did then. Our true birthday was the 15th, but I was celebrating elsewhere. Sorry.

Huge thanks to everyone who has made this piece possible, particularly the dudes who set up the original Slap You in Public, gave it a name, and gave it a home. Liverpool's To My Boy popped up on the radar about the same time as the Klaxons mainly due to their super crazy rave remix of "Gravity's Rainbow." (You can find it over at Palms Out Sounds)

Their original work holds on to a bit of the rave, but adds in some really, really poppy (& British) lyrics. Kind of like Morrissey tripped over a 303 and wanted to sing about how it made him feel.

I'm diggin it. If you are in London, To My Boy will be at Erol's DURRR night at the End on March 12th.

The Swiss production team AUDIOPORNO has given To My Boy a porn refit and it's pretty sexy. Get bent.
